چکیده
Abstract The global spread of Covid-19 not only disrupted transborder movement. In many (if most) states, stasis and closure became the default norm at within borders. This, in turn, generated exceptions organised around an idea ‘essential’ entry. category was produced, revised, represented through interaction pandemic-driven exigencies nationally-specific articulations legal, political, economic priorities constraints play. To understand how admission into Canada certain people accepted as legally, economically, and/or politically essential, one must take account Canada’s character a settler society its integration with United States. Other relevant considerations are growing dependence on migrant workers to subsidise cost food production for Canadian agribusiness, international students subsidize higher education nationals.

Inessential Features
If one converts surface lters into context free rules, one has to introduce new features. These features are strictly nonlexical, and their distribution is predictable from the distribution of the lexical features. Now, given a (feature based) context free grammar, we ask whether one can identify the nonlexical features. This is not possible; however, the notion of an inessential feature ooers ...
متن کاملEssential and inessential features of Hawking radiation
There are numerous derivations of the Hawking effect available in the literature. They emphasise different features of the process, and sometimes make markedly different physical assumptions. This article presents a “minimalist” argument, and strips the derivation of as much excess baggage as possible. All that is really necessary is quantum physics plus a slowly evolving future apparent horizo...

A groundswell of recent work in philosophy has sought to revitalize the analysis of causation by appealing to “active principles” such as powers, dispositions, capacities, tendencies, and propensities. These principles are described in a realist and rather Aristotelian fashion, in stark contrast to the deflationary and linguistic accounts of such principles characteristic of Humean thought and ...

Millions of people live on the U.S.-Mexico border, drawn by employment opportunities from industry and agriculture, and booming growth is expected to continue in the coming decades. But the influx of people has long outstripped the capacity of border towns and cities to provide for their citizens, and a large percentage of the population lives in sprawling, underserviced shantytowns. Although i...
متن کاملOn Essential and Inessential Polygons in Embedded Graphs
In this article, we present a number of results of the following type: A given subgraph of an embedded graph either is embedded in a disc or it contains a face chain that has a non-contractible curve through it. One application is that any two faces of a 4representative embedding are simultaneously contained in a disc bounded by a polygon. Such results are applied to giving proofs of the existe...
